Kraken should have gotten 7 minutes of power play with Mercer gone for the game in addition. Defending yourself from fists should not be a penalty. Time to make this kind of fight for a good hit painful to the instigator. If the first hit comes before the other player drops the glove, it should be an automatic 10 games playing with the team limited to 17 position players during that time, no call ups permitted for any reason, including injury.

i know im getting old but having watched players like clark , stevens, shultz, tiger and others, when did receiving a clean hit become a reason to fight? i played junior hockey in canada and right from the start as a child you were told never have your head down
