wow this is one of the most duplicitous setups I've ever witnessed. kudos.
For Ferraro I think 4 years at $5m would be fair for both sides, could even include a NMC on the first two or three years if it helps get him there. The NMC is pretty valuable to guys like him with a young family and he's probably not getting that signing a max value contract somewhere else over the summer. And for the Sharks it's pretty low risk, he's not going to fall off hard in the next three years and he'll still easily be worth $5m if they want to trade him in year 4.
