Look, let’s face it. The only reason why the flyers got a W is because of two shorthanded goals on Vegas’s power play literally handed it to Konecky and he buried them. A statistical outlier and anomaly saved the flyers from yet another loss. At this point, all they’re doing is keeping themselves from a higher picking the lottery. Everybody knows what the flyers are, and what they’re not. And what they’re not is contenders in any way shape or form. And yet even if they do get another chance at the draft lottery for a top pic- I don’t trust the flyers to pick the right person or to develop them properly. Shitty time to be a flyers fan.
Let's hope that for the Flyers sake that what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas 😊

When the Flyers are on their defensive structure, they break up a lot of plays in the nuetral zone, and last night they did just that. In the previous 5 games, teams were gaining speed in the nuetral zone and that caused the flyers to collapse in their own end.
Look at San Jose, they tanked to get elite talent/hockey players, traded for their future No 1 goalie, and now they pick up a good vet like Sherwood which gives them grit and scoring depth. That is how you rebuild Briere!

The Phantoms are a low ceiling team of unimpressive and uninspiring prospects. Like a rag tag younger brother of the mediocre Flyers franchise players we have. Both are entire teams of mostly 3rd line grinders and blue collar players with zero stars. We so desperately need that rare top end talent. The dinosaur coaching doesn’t help. Flyers drafting and development staff needed to be canned years ago and the identity of hardworking mediocrity needs to be left in the past. Keep drafting stars and trading for them at all costs.
