When i think of the Islanders i always thought of Noah Dobson no joke and now we have him. He can be so much better at least he has Savard's place so i wouldn't mind him.
Definitely nothing to freak about. A very good young defender with room to grow with the team. 9.5 will probably look really good in a few year as the cap keeps increasing. Plus getting rid of heinemann who never did much in a Habs jersey. I'd say it's absolutely a win
As an islanders fan I can see Dobson thrieving in montreals system, he’s definitely capable of putting up offensive numbers (as he’s proven) but he’s only been average at best in the defensive zone, last year was a down year but he’s young enough and with a fresh start can bounce back. I guess time will tell hopefully this trade works out for the both of us in the long run, btw heinemen is getting a look on the islanders top 6 with horvat and druin, should be interesting
There are no dobson lovers. I still dont know how he achieved 70 points that one season, let alone 50 the two previous ones. The only thing he has that i noticed after watching him play 3 season with the islanders is that he puts thepuck on goal. Thats it. And even then his shot still gets blocked often
Dobson has potential and at times was our best player, but watching him play was stressful with all the inconsistencies and terrible decisions he’d make. It’s sad because I have his jersey and at a point he was my favorite defensemen but I’m now genuinely glad I don’t have to watch him play every night anymore.
