  1. Problem with Panarin is, he makes too much money and he's a dog. Perhaps a team will pay the Nelson price but I know I would not! And Nelson is fitting in perfectly in Colorado. Panarin fits nowhere because he's selfish.

  2. I hope Panarin sticks it to Drury and says he wonโ€™t waive his no trade clause. If only to get payback for Trouba for the way Drury did Trouba dirty by threatening to send Trouba to the minors if he didnโ€™t accept a trade.

  3. Folks, we have to use a degree of common sense here.

    1. The Rangers GM came out and said they have no interest in resigning Panarin.

    2. The player has a full no movement clause, as Elliott highlights (which gives the player complete control).

Bottom line: If you're a team that is interested in Panarin AND Panarin is interested in you then the only way a deal happens is if Panarin says "ok". The concept here is that there is no way the Rangers are going to get a handsome ransom given the leverage that Panarin has AND that the Rangers lost with their public announcement.

Maybe they get a first and a mid-tier prospect but, if the ask is more than that, why would you pay that for a player that, literally, just a month or two after the season ends is going to be a free agent?

  4. The Rangers can't do a rebuild with Shesterkin in goal. He'll always keep them competitive enough that they won't draft high. So Tkachuk and Ullmark for Lafreniere and Shesterkin? ๐Ÿ˜…

  5. Team USA may not even medal. SOOO poorly constructed. Canโ€™t wait for them to get what they deserve.

  6. They need quality not quantity. Panarin is too old to command a big haul and a package of picks/prospects won't cut it, especially if you're retooling. Focus on the best young player you can get along with the best pick.

  7. The kings won thr cup as an 8 seed elliot. IMO as a franchise this is the year to go all in. Let next year play for.itself. this is the end of an era. Had a retool phase but they can compete so might as well get the breadman extension or not because they do need offense. Arty has had playoff hicups but on a diffrent defneisvly style team, he could be the complimentary piece they need

  8. Why is Debrincat never mentioned in the US snubs? Canadian media pretends Detroit doesn't exist. Won't get any respect until they win the cup again apparently.
