DOBES 15-5-3 .887% MONTEMBAULT 9-8-2 .871%. Starting Montmebault over Dobes is an absolutely inexcusable decision, especially in games within the division.
Montembeault has a season 0.869 save %. 0.896 with his career of over 200 games. The experiment for him being a starter needs to stop. Montreal has a good team this year. Look at Robin Lehner years ago in Buffalo on horrendous teams where he played around 130 games and averaged a 0.915. I swear a cardboard cutout could play in goal and if he is French Canadian, Montreal would give him a pass.
Montreal needs to put Slafkowski with Demidov and Kapanen when he was dominating the game.

Montembeault cost the game. The great saves he makes are always wasted by the bad goals he lets in. Always. He's not a reliable, number one goalie. This needs to stop. He's going to cost us the playoffs.
How come no one ever focuses on Matheson's weakness on defence. He was on for 3 of the 4 goals against. He is a liability on the short hand and often he just stands like a manequin in front of his net screening his goalie.
Stupid penalties and Montembeault is a BIG disappointment. Canadiens need a goalie.
To all the Habs fans saying you need a goalie – You have three. I think the number one spot is Fowler’s to lose, which leaves Dobes and Montembeault. Can’t carry all three… My bet is they either trade Montey or put him on waivers and keep Dobes as their #2. Sam’s 47 save record breaking shutout against the Leafs probably feels to him like it happened a hundred years ago.
