In tonight’s intense NHL matchup, the Montreal Canadiens pulled off one of their most dramatic wins of the season against the Florida Panthers, rallying from a two-goal deficit late in the third period to win 3–2 in overtime. Montreal’s captain Nick Suzuki was the hero, scoring the equalizer with just over a minute left in regulation and then burying the game-winner on the power play in OT.     Soon Montembeault will be wearing the san jose shark teeth around his neck. I smell trade. If he continues to play well it will be a great trade for montreal to try to get more for him. We will see.

    I like Monty, here's a guy that was cut by Florida and came to a terrible Montreal team. He played injured on those terrible teams, and gutted it out. Never got credit. He had a good year last year. He struggled a bit this year but the defense sucks. The D can score but eventually they will need to play, actual Defense if they want to get past the first round.

    Looking at the starting line up, can we pause a minute and admire Hughes work and say a big thank you to CBJ, St-Louis and Nashville ?

    Texier, Bolduc and Blais were essentially given up for free by St-Louis and now two of them are within the top9 (sry Mailloux fans).

    CBJ got us Anderson back in the Bergevin’s days, for better or worse, and Laine is always hurt 
 but with the 2nd rounder we got for taking Laine we acquired Danault our 3C !

    From Nashville its the good old Carrier for Barron trade.

    Could push it a little and say thank you Florida for Montembault, but they were pumping goaltenders out like crazy, or for sending Matheson to Pittsburgh, but that’s really pushing it !

    I can't decide if I like feeling like they will lose but knowing they like to come back. Maybe they can just smoke the Panthers from the first face-off on Jan. 8. And, of course, I look forward to watching Arber rearrange the Rat's face.
