14:53 It's kind of disappointing to hear Hiller there at the end say that Clarke's time in taking on more responsibility is just not yet. I know he's not that big and needs to fill out more, but I think that comment is gonna hurt Clarke's confidence and drive. If I was in Clarke's position, I would be a little discouraged. I've played competitive hockey high level hockey for 8 years (was in HNIB in 1995) and trust me, that's not what you want your coach to say publicly. But Clarke's a mature man and I believe he'll keep going strong.
Look at Schaefer on the Islanders, he barely turned 18. He's been given the opportunity to shine even though he's not the biggest guy. I know our directive is to win the cup now, but honestly, what are the chances of that right now? Give him the ice time and experience now so his development can speed up. I don't get the Kings management mentality a lot of times. Now is the time to give the young guys the ice time and experience.
Let's put a fire under Byfields a** and give him some competition. (Let's not keep telling him he's the next Kopitar). Competition and pride can be the best motivators for excellence, especially with the younger group. Couple that with the right coach and it can be a very great recipe for success.
Hopefully I'm not the only one who realizes this. There's more to say on this topic but I'll need to keep it at that for now.
