Matthew Tkachuk earns a classic Tkachuk powerplay against Vinnie Desharnais – Tough Call Review

Matthew Tkachuk keeps fooling NHL officials and they keep falling for it. What’s the over/under on when he’ll have to finish his own battle for the first time?

  1. He can turtle all he wants, but Vinny scored in his return from injury and Tkachuk didn’t. I miss Desharnais in Edmonton.

  2. I don't understand why he gets away with it. It's the most annoying thing in hockey. Everyone knows he does it, it's the same thing every night. Yet there's no calls? Just seems unfair.

  3. Soccer/football players are hated for actions like this, so hockey fans should be even more pissed by the Turtle.
When do you start to review calls and geht him off of the ice?

  4. Greg Campbell, who is Colin Campbell's son, is an AGM for the Panthers and was also a player. Back in 2010, Colin sent an email to the head of the refs giving him crap about a penalty call on Greg. We only know this because his emails were released due to a court case. Google "colin campbell emails son" and you'll get numerous articles about it.

No one should be surprised if the Panthers are getting better calls because of Colin's NHL executive position.

  5. It's textbook Matthew Tkachuck because the NHL effectively encourage it. It's actually worse than not penalizing him either on or off the ice, they are rewarding him by giving the Panthers the power play. But apparently the Panthers don't get favourable treatment by the league.
