  1. why does Larkin always start strong the fall apart mid season? 10 years straight. a real leader steps up when the team needs them most

  2. If the Red Wings don't make the Finals this year, Todd McLellan will tie the NHL all-time record for most seasons as a head coach without ever leading a team to the Stanley Cup Finals. He's made the playoffs 3 of the last 11 seasons. He's won 2 playoff series in the last 14 seasons. He's been fired 3 times. The San Jose Sharks, whose entire Hall of Fame core he wasted, made the Finals the year after they fired him. The Edmonton Oilers, who had McDavid/Draisaitl all 4 years he was there, have made the Finals twice since his firing, and have made the playoffs 6 straight times since they fired him – after he missed the playoffs and had a losing record 3 of 4 years there.

To put that Oilers business in perspective – this guy didn't just miss the playoffs with McDavid/Draisaitl, the team had a LOSING RECORD 3 years out of 4. They have had a winning record and made the playoffs all 6 years since he was fired (usually winning multiple rounds).

McDavid/Draisaitl would then casually annihilate McLellan's Kings in the 1st round in the playoffs 3 times in a row, with historically incredible offensive numbers against them, indicating that they personally hate this coach.

Someday Kane is going to make the podcast rounds and bury this Mike Babcock wannabe coach, Kyle Davidson and Bill Guerin. And that will be all anyone ever remembers about any of them, are the things he will say about them.
