Players have taken profound steps backward under the tutelage of Adam Foote.

“Adam Foote deserves at least some of the blame…some of these players have taken steps backward, pretty profound in fact, under the tutelage of Adam Foote.”

  1. Some blame? Magically overnight the entire team forgot how to play hockey. Everyone except like Linus Karlsson and Max Sasson have underperformed.

If that’s not the coaches job, what is. Get this guy out of here

  2. This was so predictable. They were moving backwards under Tocchet and Foote the previous year – every offensive player went into a scoring slump with the exception of Sherwood, and Rutherford doubled-down and promoted Foote? They're now the worst team in the NHL and close to setting an all-time Canuck losing streak!

  3. Sorry but should never have been made the Canuck’s head coach. Lots of teams had injuries, so not enough of an excuse. He has lost the plot in Vancouver a long time ago. But ownership and management are mostly to blame. Do Vancouver a big favour and sell the team, the new owner can clean house and hire the right team to rebuild and stay out of their way.

  4. "all these players have taken steps back this season"
Which is saying something when you consider that they all took profound steps back last season.

  5. Boeser was given a gift of a contract that has now kneecapped the team. Boeser has always been, at best, an AHL player. No idea how he made the NHL. 2 types of hockey players: Floaters and Drivers. Brock is a Floater. Floaters don’t usually make the NHL. Floaters don’t usually get $8m/year contracts. Brock needs to do the right thing and retire. If he loves the city as much as he says, it’s the only option to get this team competitive again within 5 years.
It’s over Brock, hang em up, go home and blow dry your hair.

  6. I bet Coach gets texts from the new coach over in Philadelphia that says “told you”
