Carolina Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward shows his frustration with players crashing his net by giving Pittsburgh Penguins forward Patric Hornqvist a wack with his stick.
I know they're Pittsburgh announcers but good lord. That was a love tap at best, not really anything to lose your mind over and they just act like he tried to murder Hornqvist
Pittsburgh announcers when Hornquist headshots Oshie: "Oh, what a hit!" Pittsburgh announcers when Ward taps Hornquist: "That's fair game? I guess it is. I don't know how you can pick and choose what you call." Man, these guys are even worse that Edwards.
These might possibly be the worst refs I've seen in a while, they don't call a slash that happened right in front of them but then after they call the holding penalty on Pittsburg. Then two goals later they see the same guy, Ward attack Hornquizist again this with his blocker and they don't call anything. I understand Ward's frustration but it's not the Penguins fault that his defense is terrible and it's cowardly to attack Hornquizist when he's not looking or when he's on his back. I'm not a Penguins fan and I don't have anything against the Hurrican but I find it amazing how the Penguins kept their calm.
you have to pay the PRICE (get it ?) if you are going to rush the net like that especially in a 4-0 game, uncalled for …. you have to expect it ! no penalties, no way. Ward was just protecting himself there.

That's bullshit, when you have people crashing your net over and over and your D aren't doing anything it's like the unwritten rule that goalies get a free shot… And Refs usually won't call things if they feel the person got what they deserved (which I respect) unless the attacker takes it too far of course like what happens later in the game when ward attacks him and gives him a blocker to the face lol (I still think he got what he deserved though)
