Los Angeles Kings and Team Canada, goaltender Darcy Kuemper exited Tuesday’s game against the New York Rangers late in the first period following a collision in the crease.
The incident occurred when Rangers forward Jonny Brodzinski drove hard to the net on a breakaway, making contact with Kuemper’s head as he attempted to stop. Kuemper initially tried to shake it off but headed to the locker room and was later ruled out with an upper-body injury, according to Kings PR.
