The Rebuild was set off track the day tom wilson ragdolled bread, Jd and Gorts ( they wiffed on picks) but they had a plan , The Team won 52, 47 , 55 games with Trouba as C , a guy they coveted ! They signed Barclay and his 2 rings, Signed bread. I Really believe that Drury did not let this core rid it out , the day after you lose to flordia you trade for Jt miller, and every good gm manipulates the cap! Laff played his best hockey in the playoffs and he was coming on, cant have a kid nicknamed baby trouba then troubas gone, Rempe , Kam , and other kids, drury gutted the room by getting rid of the two biggest leaders in the room has had a MAJOR effect on this teams core , Hence CK nevered smiled once, it trickles down, I thinks it effects the confidence and experience of the kids the most. we were 2 games away from the finals, president's trophy , best record in team history! Im not saying this core was 100% legit but they were right there , the gm in some kinda fucked up way destroyed the room of this team , that core was battle tested , needed to make a trade to put us over , i think the core had a run or two if he made roster adjustments. Even Knoblock , first time the rangers had a legit home grown coach, let him walk! I think Jd and gorts is the biggest regret this franchise will have in a long time. They were fired in the middle of the rebuild that they constructed and they didn't get to finish the rebuild with tough greasy Canadian born players , which JD said himself! The Rangers don't need new tools. They need new architects, designers, engineers, craftsmen, and workers.
When the first letter went out, Drury was the GM of the Wolf Pack and they were not very good, he was hired 3 years earlier as the Director of Player development and somehow he was promoted to the GM of the Pack, and at the time he was also the Assistant GM of the Rangers …. the Pack were, and still are, a middling AHL team who are lucky to make the playoffs as a bottom seed and are generally a fast exit when they do, in spite of the fact that they had a coach who just coached the Oilers to 2 straight cup appearances. So, in 11 years Drury managed to go from Director of Player development to GM of Hartford, without developing a single player, then from GM of Hartford to Assistant GM of the Rangers, without ever winning anything in Hartford, to Assistant GM of the Rangers to President of the Rangers because Tom Wilson beat up Artemi Panarin; that about sums it up …. And all it really proves is what a total boob James Dolan really is.

The letter does not address the real problem . The locker room is toxic becase of Drury starting with Goodrow then Trouba and CK he caused the problem and should be fired! Hope for the Buffalo effect fire the GM get wins without any other changes Drury is not qualified to be a GM

Drury built this team or perhaps destroyed it. There is the problem. They traded away all their good prospects so how do they retool? All their AHL prospects are mediocre at best. If they trade Panarin its no loss as more goals are scored by the opposition when he is on the ice than when he scores. .
