  1. Like the player Anderson, but the supposed deal is not good. Poitras has disappeared down the AHL and hasn't been given a chance this year, he is still a good prospect and I wouldn't trade him, even though others have come up or are going to next (Minton and Hagens) and Poitras has gone down the pecking order. Lohrei, sure, too much of liability on D he can go, it just isn't working. But the 1st round pick, no, A first is too much for a second line D especially with the 2 players going. Age isn't that much of an issue, he still has 5 plus years left. It seems just too high a price and a 5 mil cap hit probably.

  2. what is Yardbarker? they said that andersson has been traded to the bruins for Lohrei, Pottras and 1st. and andersson signed. do they live in their own little reporting world ?

  3. The first pick is my only hold up. Lorei and Poitras I am fine with. Both players have stagnated in development.

  4. Lohrei will be a top offensive defence in this league. The bruins held him back I love Macavoy( my favourite player) but lohrei should be running the PP he has 6 goals and plays the least min. I believe lohrei is a game breaker. Rember this post if he gets traded

  5. The bruins CAN NOT do that trade at all and here’s why are the Bruins at the top of the Atlantic with Anderson on their team right now because if the answer is no then what’s the difference on where they’re at now? Also, there has to be an extension before accepting this trade. I just personally think Calgary wins this trade, no matter what two young players who by the way have NHL experience and Calgary gets a first round pick I get it. Rasmus is a great top right handed shot defenseman I just think the package maybe too much for the Bruins to give up right now. Just think it’s risky business if I’m Don Sweeney. and the Bruins have to make great trades not risky ones.

  6. Why would Rasmus want to sign with the Bruins? As a free agent he could write his own ticket. Word was he didn't like Boston and had no desire to sign here. You would have to pay him a very high premium.

As for the cost in capital, Lohrei, Poitras and a first? Lohrei, no problem, see ya. Poitras, that would sting. There isn't that much depth at center if you really look at it. Lindholm is nothing special, just a guy. Way overpaid. Zacha is a better player. Minten is fine where he is, 3rd line center.

As for Hagens, quite frankly I'm tired of hearing all the hype. Boston media fan boys keep pushing him as this superstar coming to take over the league. I just don't see it. I see a 3rd line center who will get you 10 to 15 goals a year. Once he gets to the pros and faces the heavy checking he will be neutralized.

Bruins have 2 first round picks in this year's rich draft. Foolish to give one away. I wouldn't touch this deal unless you can extend Rasmus at a team friendly contract.

  7. Agree with a lot of what you said. There are a lot rhd free agents on the docket this year. None are better than andersson, probably though.

Got gudas and trouba who can be good 2rhds. Better than Joki and peeke anyways. But are much older and will still probably be over priced.

Also have raddysh out Tampa who is a ufa and exploding this year. Which brings its own concerns about overpaying for one good year.

That all being said, would really like andersson move for everything you mentioned.

If options above are bad, you are basically looking at resigning peeke or running a similar replacement in like desharnais or somethjng

  8. What a great comeback dub. Vibes seem to be high right now and the team seems to have found their formula to win.

I’ve always been a Lohrei guy, it would be tough to see him go but you desperately need a true top 4 RHD. I’m ok if what’s being rumored ends up being the price for Rasmus, I’d love to see him in the spoked B. Be interesting to see how it all shakes out. Go B’s.

  9. We were going to need to do a trade for a right handed d anyway…. They don’t grow on trees and take a while to develop. With this trade you have a top 5 blue line. We know our forward prospects look good. Go for it compete for the cup next year…. And draft a defensive player in the draft and develop him

  10. The really really bad part about this. The deal looks like it fell apart. But now poitras and lohrei know you don’t want them. Upside the league knows now, so other deals might come your way.

  11. We need the interim gm we had that drafted Marchand. That guy went team to team and drafted high caliper talent over and over again.

  12. Lou Brown (Major League) " All right people, we got 10 minutes 'till game time, let's all gather 'round. I'm not much for giving inspirational addresses, but I'd just like to point out that every newspaper in the country has picked us to finish last. The local press seems to think that we'd save everyone the time and trouble if we just went out and shot ourselves. Me, I'm for wasting sportswriters' time. So I figured we ought to hang around for a while and see if we can give 'em all a nice big shitburger to eat!"

  13. I like Anderson, but the question is, if we extend him at 29 is he worth the first for the next 4-5 seasons? I think so, but I would rather not give up a high first.

  14. Rasmus rumors haha .bunch internet sports insiders .its not gonna happen .but I trust Sweeney 100% to screw this all up an have us circling the mid bowl for 6 years

  15. Great opening, as usual. My two cents, do not trade away young talent….and for sure not a 1st round pick. Stand pat, the team seems to have a certain chemistry

  16. I live in Calgary and please don't make a deal for Rasmus, he's not a top pair dman 3,4 at best and is very attitudey. BAD MOVE

  17. This is insane, every video comment section suddenly loves Lohrei and he is suddenly a super star bc he scored twice. Ignore the 99% of the time where he turns over the puck and doesn’t know what D is. I like the kid but he is bad

  18. I get to see the Bruins-Stars game on Tuesday and I'm pumped for it. Last game I watched between those two was in the record-breaking season and it was incredible!

Also this squad is so weird and janky and I would be sad if we lost anyone (even if it's the defensive liability in Lohrei)

  19. Trading a second pairing RD for a young third liner and a first rounder we've been told was a steal, so what is trading that same first rounder, potential 2nd liner and a defenseman with offensive skill for a second pairing RD?

  20. IMO it’s too much for Andersson. Even if he does sign an extension. He’s a great player, but not two guys and a first good. Quinn Hughes grabbed just a bit more than that. Rasmus isn’t Quinn.

  21. Good win by the bruins. I would rather get Robertson or thomas, i know we need a rhd, i just like the age and impact of those two forwards more. Giving up Lohrei and poitras, im fine with. Unfortunately poitras has been buried on the 3rd line in the ahl and clearly is no part of the bruins plans. Will Rasmus make us better? I think so, will it make us a contender, im not so sure…..

  22. Does Rasmus Anderson guarantee a single playoff win? Even a playoff spot? Obviously not. I’m not giving up a 1st for him. I honestly think Donny could flip Lohrei into another 1st.

    Just get rid of Peeke.

And keep Arvidson beyond the trade deadline unless we get wow’ed for him. He IS our rental for this season and he won’t require any more assets to keep him. Who cares if he walks. We win with the cap space.

  23. Andersson with a 4 year extension locks up our top 4 D through Pastas prime. In that 4 years were going to have Hagens and likely Zellers move up into the roster and make an impact immediately while on their cheap ELCs. This is the way to go. Minten has ultimately replaced our need for Poitras and with Hagens our center needs are filled. Keep Lysell coming up as a winger and were looking really good. Also Aspirot continues to impress in the small ways and keep himself out of trouble. Love the guy. GO BSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  24. 6-1 in a stretch where we played 7 games in 12 days. That’s impressive even if the opponents were a little soft.

Show you can hang vs Dallas and Vegas and take a game from Montreal.

Also want to acknowledge the Korporal. Best stretch of his Bruins tenure. I don’t know if a shot from that spot is ever really soft, but even if you think that he was nails in the 2nd and 3rd. And like you’ve said, that motivates Sway.

Trade would be a good deal for the reasons you’ve said. For those that are concerned about assets, we have guys we can move at the deadline. Especially Peeke, if this trade goes through, and Arvy is a pretty obvious candidate.

@LowQualityBruinsFan surprised the title for this one wasn’t “The Post-Viel Era.”

  25. i don't know why the offer is so large for Andersson, he's 30 and doesn't add anything to our team that is worth giving up any future for

  26. I am very against being a buyer, a 2nd pair RHD is the only exception. Like you said, you aren't gonna land one like Rasmus in FA, and if you want to draft one it's going to take a couple seasons to develop them. Not a bad deal, as long as it is the FLA or TOR pick.

  27. If you actually break the trade down. We got the first with minten for Carlo so if we trade it for Rasmus you got Rasmus and minten for Rasmus. If you saw that trade made you’d laugh because of how one sided it is. Poitras will never get a crack with the C we have. When minten came over it was done for Poitras

  28. I wasn't big on the trade to begin with…but how in the hell does Vegas seem to always be able to make blockbuster trades with the salary they have…or shouldn't have. It's crazy to me
