My first memories and fandom for the Sabres started at 13 in 97 it was the first time I heard RJ on the radio he made it so exciting it was not embarrassing to be a Sabres fan back then we had the best goaltender on the planet in 99 we made it to the finals but I truly hit overdrive in my fandom in 05 06 the Sabres that 2 year stretch were surreal I wish that 05 06 team weren’t so unlucky because if we would have had our defensemen we would had won the cup that year 😢… you were young for the 05 06 team buddy it’s one thing to hear people tell you the city was a buzz or electrified it’s another to experience them and this city when they are at peak power! This team is going to make the playoffs I’m convinced! Get your butt to Buffalo to a game in the playoffs and you will see just how passionate this city is about hockey and the Sabres
Does anyone else think that Josh Doan might be our best forward? i know it was Tage's night tonight and Tuch is always in that conversation but the guy is consistently smart with the puck.
The radio would play cup crazy in Buffalo during their runs I remember it vividly man it was great being a Sabres fan. I still love them I just long for relevancy again

What's great to me is we can handle business missing key pieces even at the start of this season we were playing. Good ,it's great to see our blue and gold back and earning the respect of the rest of the league
To look for a silver cup this year why not screw the playoffs let's get a cup this year the goal should be,other teams will give us respect and not want us on their plate ya we're not a laughing stock anymore and it's actually making me feel happier these days no more Sabre depression

Man I miss going to the arena all the time. I'm not in Buffalo either, right now I'm in MO. The reunion hit me hard personally, because my 1st wife, God rest her soul, lived through that era with me, we were at the arena almost every home game. I'm getting that vibe from this current team, only there's something extra this time, this current team are on some next level shit FR. Shout out to Zach Benson, the unsung hero of last night. He got under their skin to the max, and they crumbled under the weight of the Sabres tenacity. Let's GO BUFFALO! 🦬⚔️⚡💥
