I'll miss Stanley Cup Champion Zach Whitecloud, and wish him well with his new team. I'll welcome Rasmus Andersson. Vegas paid a pretty good price for him, so I hope he works out.
If Vegas takes home another Cup, it will be worth it. I'm not sure there is an organization out there that wouldn't trade a first round pick for a Cup.

Flames fan here, if I think about it as a rental I love the return, but it almost seems inevitable that he resigns there so it seems a tad light but I don't think unreasonably so. Hopefully next Kadri and Coleman are on the chopping block and they keep one last retention slot open for Kadri's contract
If he signs with Vegas, they come out ahead. Doubt Vegas would do this deal if they weren't VERY confident they could get a longer term deal done.

Rasmus better offensively than Whitecloud, but how is he defensively. Whitecloud is a gritty player, or does all the other necessary stuff.
Does LV need a Rasmus or a Whitecloud more? Well, they still have McNabb, Lauzon, and Hanifin. So they still have size and grit.

We are underwhelwmd with the retun in Calgary. But Andersson apparently wasnt willing to talk extension witg anyone, so nobosy is paying anything more than rental prices. Conroy held on to Anderson too long. Should've been traded before extension talks were even allowed.
I respect VGK for at least making trades. Always making deals that matter.

Considering Andersson dropped the bomb of "I am not signing anywhere" on Conroy and turned this into a rental trade, I think Conroy did the best he could. I am tired of players handcuffing the Flames like that though.
I'm really going to miss Ras. He's been a favourite of mine for a long time. That said, tidy work by Conroy. A pretty nice return considering Ras was dealt as a rental. Not to mention Conroy could probably flip Whitecloud at the deadline for some more assets if he wanted to, too.
I really like the direction Conroy is taking this team.

I’m not saying Andersson is to Vegas what Quinn Hughes was to Minnesota… but Rasmus will definitely improve Vegas and they got a solid trade. I’m bummed to see Ras go and I don’t think we got the best return, but I’m hopeful for the future.
