They were on the right path with Gorton and JD, but then Tom Wilson happened and Dolan got itchy trigger finger and fired them. They fired a NYR legend to hire a stiff who failed here as a player and has now failed as a GM. As soon as Buchnevich was traded for Sammy Fucking Blais I knew we were toast. The ECF appearance was a mirage, this team has been crap the whole time
Great strategy to announce your desperation, that will really help your trade position , NOT! Go back to the Gorton letter and then he traded McDonagh (at his peak) and JT Miller for nothing (Brett Howden, Vlad Namedstkoff (sp), a 1st rounder (Nils Lundquist), and I think Spooner or some other trash. This letter should have been we fired Drury. He took a Pres Cup winning team that was running on fumes, destroyed the team chemistry, and every yea rotates in 3 or 4, 3rd and 4th line players in a way where is no continuity or team purpose/vision.

We had the best window in YEARS to win. We squandered it. Poor scouting. Poor drafting. Poor trades. And terrible contracts. Gorton is at fault as well as Drury. He needs to trade these players not build around them. This franchise is cooked for years.
I don’t know what’s more disturbing, a grown man becoming emotional over a sports team letter or the fact that the same emotional guy doesn’t know that the team he’s talking about is a last place mess. The Rangers are a horrible organization and need a total gutting. If Drury is the guy to do it , is highly questionable. You haven’t been watching if you think this team is good.
