Disagree strongly, Mancini is playing in a defensive system that is a mess. His head is in the clouds trying to play defense because the coaching staff is above in the stratosphere. Mancini thrives in Abby, not just because the league is a different caliber but because Malhotra presents the team with a defensive system that makes sense. Don't dump on the young D when our veterans have been all over the place all year long i.e. Myers/M. Pettersson. Foote and the gang are the problem, period.
This ownership needs to have a foot on the n£ck and be embarrassed for years. We fans deserve better. We had a decade of hell only to have one magic season and right down the shitt£r after. You had to trade Quinn fu€king Hughes because you couldn't build around him. Quinn fu€king Hughes. Your players dont really want to be here and other player dint want to sign here. Says a lot about the franchise. And that starts from the top. Ownership needs to sit the fu€k down. Keep your fu€king hands off and let the people you fu€king hired and pay to do their damn job. Build a real contender though the draft. Last time they tried to retool, got lucky with a few high picks and thought they were done. This time you tear it down and draft as many fu€king players as possible for 3 years. Man this is going to be hard to watch but a decade of Mediocre of hockey was way more torture 😫. The reason I'm upset today is Edmonton is shoving this in our face and our team can't back up our trash talk. We have no leg to stand on. If you cheer for the canucks and trash talk an oiler fan you have to be an absolute 🤡. The team to end the one magical run we had in forever is laughing. It's embarrassing and will be for even more years. I wear my canuck hat proudly in Edmonton. I live in this city. We are an absolute joke to them and nothing we say has any interestto them. Yea. They fu€ked up on two opportunities to win a cup. They at least got those opportunities. The canuck fan base have been silenced. Our frustration is at the owner, not some distant rival. Bring up Lekkerimaki back up. He has 7 goals and 12 points in his last 11 games in Abby, missed a couple of games injured in the midst of that stretch but has returned and has kept in form. Meanwhile, the Canucks sport 10 straight losses, two of them heavy shutout losses broadcast nationally on Hockey Night in Canada. We are seeing more and more games where the Canucks look disjointed, show no cohesion in the forward lines and pose a very limited scoring threat. If you aren't bringing up a potential scoring threat in Lekkerimaki now, then why is he under contract?
Why would Rutherford be trusted with a rebuild ? He is almost 80 and got us here .
None of existing management have shown they should have job here next year . Top players chocking .
