What fantastic news. He deserves it. Being a Montreal Canadien we are sometimes/often overlooked. Congrats Nick. I know he will well represent us.
Of course that Keller is mote physical than caufield 😂😂😂😂 team usa is a joke
Happy New Year
Hate olympic hockey.
2 weeks without Habs is annoying.
This is Russo's projection
bro. team USA is looking for grinders and goons and not small and talent players and because of that they will not win the gold and the fact that they are soar losers
I didn't want any Hab on any team. I want them to rest up and come back from the break with a chip on their shoulder. Remember what happened last year when they were both left off the Canadian and American team? They came back from the break and killed it.
Let the US shoot themselves in the foot. Let them lose. Canada's team looks so much better the the proposed US team. Better for us Canadians…
Good picks for Team Canada. Happy for Suzuki. Disappointed with Team USA. Matthews is having an awful year. Tkachuk bros may not be healthy. Jones doesn't deserve to be there. Just sayin'
Happy for him, but I hope his job isn’t to pk and block shots all day.
Go Cap’tn go! Go CANADA GO!😁
great for Nick… low key, ok if we keep Hutson hungry to prove himself, and Caufield too… and given Habs roster health
Cooper loves Suzy !
Went to the Hockey Canada site under the Men's Olympic team and refreshed it as the roster went live….congrats to Captain Clutch Nick Suzuki.
I'm so happy for Nick. He was a no-brainer choice, in my opinion. Binnington makes no sense; he's lost his job as the Blues' starter. As for the Americans, I can see, perhaps, leaving Cole Caufield or Jason Robertson off their roster, but leaving both of them off is, frankly, moronic. I'll got back to what Frankie Corrado said, a couple of weeks ago, about the possibility of Cole not making the team: I wouldn't want to have to defend that decision if the Americans lose by a goal. I hope and pray that proves to be the case.
As for Lane Hutson: I don't what freaking planet Hutson detractors live on, but this guy is utterly unique, phenomenal, and good enough to make any hockey team. Go ahead: leave him at home, USA. Dumb! Dumber! Dumbest! Good for the Habs though, as I believe Lane benefited more than anyone in the NHL last season from the Four Nations break. He was starting to look a little fatigued before the tournament, and then he played his best hockey of the season down the stretch. You'd think a guy who established a record for points by a Montreal Canadiens' defencemen–doing something that Harvey, Laperriere, Tremblay, Savard, Lapointe, Robinson, Chelios, Schneider, Desjardins, Markov, Subban et al did not do–could somehow make an Olympic team, wouldn't you?
Lane Hutson is criminally underrated. He's on pace for a point-per-game season or so as a defenceman, and he's only 21! I think what unserved him is that he has more or less the same profile as Quinn Hughes, who deserves to be there indeed. But I'm confident the kid will have his chance in the future, the sky is the limit in his case.
I'm more shocked by Robertson and Caufield being snubbed. They are elite scorers in the NHL and, moreover, they are true clutch players. They shoud have been invited indeed!
Habby New Year guys and thanks.
Great news for Nick and everyone for helping him get to this great achievement.
Happy NewYear everyone
I'm very glad for Nick. He will start, but not finish the Olympics on the 4th line.
The U.S. messed up bad not taking Hutson. They are building their lineup like this is going to be another 4 nations tournament. IIHF hockey is SOFT. Refs call penalties on clean hard hits.
Small skilled players like Hutson and Caufield are made for this tournament.
I would also take Caufield over Robertson because of his defensive play. It could also be bias on my part!
Bennett is a surprise
Nick is going to outshine Point and move up in the lineup
Cool but still . Slaf is going to win the gold with Slovakia .
Matheson should be on this roster.
