Since the 4 -Nations break, I've mainly had the games on as background noise while I get other things done, but for some reason I watched a lot of this one including most of the 2nd and the entire 3rd. Your title is spot on. "Good old fashioned fun". I was very entertained by a Bruins game for one of the few times this season. They actually kicked it up a few notches after the Devils got two quick goals.
It's so clear that the problems this team have are mostly in players mentality. The rookies were full of confidence in this game and that translates into everyone playing a great game. Next season we have to keep them in this mood somehow.
Huge moral win for the locker room. We take those.
Just 3 games left… Soon we'll be free from this nightmare.
Was a really fun game, the youngins keep looking good, despite Lysell's issues he has still looked like one of the best players on this team which really says something.
Pastrnak is truly one of the greatest players in the league, just imagine what he could do with a genuine 1st line (no offense to elitekee and Elias). The Geekster is truly on a next level since January, he definitely will get a raise, and as long as he plays with Pasta (which I do see happening for the next couple years till the prospects are ready) he should be a very serviceable 20-30 goal scorer and 50-60 point getter.
Really happy to see as well how much this new environment has helped Zaddy and Elias. It's just nice to see them not worry anymore and truly for the first time all season get comfortable and truly learn how to play with their linemates. There's still a hell of a lot of work for them to do mind you, but dear lord is their current play night and day compared to just a couple months ago.

Zadorov gives the Bruins some flavor. In the beginning it was too much, like when you order a hot fudge sunday and they just smother the hell out of the ice cream. But, he definitely sauces it up, every game.

Guys I’m concerned. I missed the game vs the canes when we won, I was late to the buffalo game, specifically showed up right before the sabres scored their first goal, watched us get dismantled, then had to miss this game in which we played well. Do I watch the next game and watch us loose, improving the pick, or not watch and know they’ll win another one. 😂

We know the year is what it is but it was great to see Pasta get his well deserved 100 point plateau. Has to be in the Hart discussion.
It was nice to see pasta get 100 and Geekie get the 30th goal because it’s a nice story for the end of the season but now that those milestones are done, please PLEASE let’s tank these last three games because I don’t think anyone on this team (other than Pasta) deserves moral victories after a season this bad. People are acting like it’s good that they had a feel good game like the season hasn’t been over for eons. The difference between a top 5 pick and outside of that is pretty massive this year. We need that pick…… and for anyone saying Sweeney will screw it up I’ll throw him a bone here because his seat is too hot to reach for some random bum from Methuen and the choices in the top 3-5 are too obvious. We could be screwing ourselves pretty bad by randomly deciding to be a hockey team with three games left. But then again, there’s no law stopping the league from rigging their own draft towards whatever will make them the most money and historically speaking, I think there’s at least a 50-50 chance they gift the billion dollar original six franchise #1. Maybe I’m being cynical, but I don’t think that’s unrealistic. I don’t know man after season like this. I think it would be the most Bruins thing of all time for them to win all the games they have left and go from 4th overall to like 12😂. And I’m traumatized enough by this team that I fully expect that to happen
We’re still 5th! Hopefully we can stay there or move to 4th if the flyers can pick up a win or 2, we only have 3 games left if we lose 2 we’re pretty much guaranteed 5th possibly 4th. And we just need the balls to fall our way hahah, if we don’t get top 2 and misa is gone I hope we can get desnoyers or frondell, anyone interested in watching desnoyers play there playoffs are about to start round 2, he’s the leading scorer on the best CHL team in Canada so, guys pretty fkn elite. And he was a 1st overall pick in the QMJHL so he’s always been that guy. I’m all for the tank but honestly it was nice to see the guys smile last night and actually having fun at work
To be fair your lindholm and zaddy comments have been fair, i hope they continue this play this play is top 4 d and top 6 C play, which we need, I will say I think if we bolster our wings between Casey, lindholm, will be okay hopefully get our guy in the draft let him develop and bring him up in a year or 2 if needed. I like that first line right now, I’d like to keep it that way give Casey some help let the young boys man the 3rd line kasty, lauko, and whomever wants that last spot most. But I think that’s the best option the team has to be honest.
This season has made me realize that Pastrnak is actually a god tier NHLer. Insanity.
