Look at 1:00 at 0.25x playback speed. Tkachuk had his foot off the ice! He wasn't trying to slow down and he wasn't bracing for impact with the boards, he was trying to clip Scheifele in the heel. It was a dirty play.

Tkachuk lifted his skate and intentionally tried to make some sort of contact. Maybe he would have gotten hurt anyway, but Tkachuk intentionally tried to make it worse. As others have said, I would have given the benefit of the doubt to another player who wasn’t notorious for being dirty.
I dont care about the name on the jersey. As a lifelong hockey player, this is 100% intentional. NO REASON for his foot to be coming off the ice like that. It DOESNT HAPPEN naturally in that instance EVER. 100% intentional.
