Tage Thompson’s FIVE POINT NIGHT carries the Buffalo Sabres past the Montreal Canadiens
Buffalo Sabres fans couldn’t have had a better night on 2005-06 Reunion Night, with a great ceremony before the game bringing back all the alumni of 20 years ago, and the team on the ice gave them a ton to cheer about afterwards. Tage Thompson was the catalyst for all of that, with a point on every one of the Sabres goals, including a hat-trick. Tage was on fire, scoring on almost every opportunity he had, setting up Alex Tuch for probably his nicest assist of the season, and icing the game with a massive empty netter to beat the Canadiens. With lots of Habs fans in attendance, it was an energized night between two teams that look like they’re heading towards the playoffs, which is why the Sabres winning in regulation is so big.
Plus, multi-point nights for Josh Doan and Noah Ostlund. What player in the league does Ostlund remind you of? Sneaky Joe goes with Dylan Larkin. And man… Colten Ellis. He’s a wild man. Ellis gets another win, but gave fans a lot of anxiety along the way.

Go sabs and go bills!!
I've been done with Drury since he left Buffalo. He went to NYR to see about signing and PROMISED Buffalo he'd be back to see if we'd counter the offer and crickets. Fuck Drury
Enough with the Bills!? I'm here for the Sabres 🦬
Dont really need to see much more of ellis for a bit
Ceiling for Ost is Martin St. Louis
Don't do anything that will ruin team chemistry. Don't really care for Panarin.
Kiefer Sherwood is who I would trade for.
Looking back at the past 3 seasons.. we need 92-94 pts, so we have technically a minimum of 18 games to win out of the last 36.. of course we want way more
BUF receives:
Artemi Panarin
NYR receives:
BUF 2026 1st round pick
Jack Quinn
Even though it’s just a rental i think it’s worth it with how the Atlantic looks this this year, plus it frees up a spot in the top 9 next year for a guy like Ostlund or Konsta who will be better players than Quinn long term
I said from the beginning of that trade for Peterka… DOAN Is the primary win for us… and so far… IT IS A SOLD call!!! Now if Kesselring can get healthy….. Let's hope is equally as valuable.
With the way the team is going idk who they can really trade without disrupting things. I think the team wouldn’t miss Jack Quinn and they have a lot of RHD prospects.
There’s no excuse for drury. I don’t care if u have bad blood with the franchise. The fans and his teammates did nothing wrong. All he had to do was send in a quick video saying “it was a special year proud to be in the locker room with those guys” that’s it and everyone would have loved it.
What about Brian cambell? Why wasn’t he there
