Just watched the post game interviews and eichle wasn’t as cringey as zach made it out to be. He’s the to support his teammate nothing wrong with that.
Not the a fan of what Mitch did myself but Sundin did it and he’s considered one of the greatest lead in history. It’s a business.
To get to the next level the Leafs need to make some deals. Physicality is still lacking of course and needs to be addressed. The D is not very deep and has injuries making it worse. Also having goalies not stay healthy can really tank a season. With that all said the Leafs have done well to be where they are at right now but part of what is keeping them in things is a terrible league. Bettman was on some network the other night talking about parity instead of what really is going on and that is mediocrity. Old players are able to hang on longer than ever because of young players not becoming complete players and if not doing that are not providing enough O to offset that. There are many players given third chances and more that are on rosters right now that never would have made the cut 20 or 30 years ago. Anyway eh in regards to the sudden switch in how the Leafs are doing where they have allowed a bunch of goals in two games I hope it continues. I am a Devils fan. We need all the help we can get. No reason Winnipeg can't beat Toronto on Saturday night. They have the grit. They have better goaltending when their guy is on. Hopefully the Make Me Laughs are at three losses in a row after next game. Oh and almost forgot to mention that your head coach definitely did blow it in this one but so many times I think these coaches hands are tied. That sort of stuff needs to end. Players running the teams is ridiculous. If it is to be that way then let us just get rid of the coaches. That would make for some interesting happenings around the league. LOL!
