Refs were so biased against the Sens that game, you woulda thought the refs had money on the game. That and the linesmen were schticking around not dropping the puck at face-offs. Horrible officiating that night.

Sam Bennett elbowing Stolarz giving him a concussion was bloody disgusting too. Should have had to sit rest of playoffs. Too bad, so sad.
In preseason, Carter Verhaeghe received a match penalty For Boarding Zemgus Girgensons NO FINE, NO SUSPENSION
I don't know why anybody was surprised with this. Rantanen did this, ends Romanov's season and got no supplemental discipline, and then does it again 2 days later. It's not just the Panthers, it's a huge problem around the league. The actual problem is that the NHLPA is complicit in that it actively defends the offenders when suspensions are handed but does nothing to protect the injured players by holding it's own players accountable.
Seriously, why even have referees. They’re just guys who were picked last and couldn’t play. This moron looked at it twice, once in slow motion, and still fucked it up. They want to be the stars, and “manage “ the game. But nobody ever dropped a dime to watch a fool in stripes.
Sens fan here. I’m not upset he didn’t get suspended. Not because it’s not a suspendible offence, but because the league doesn’t care about player safety, so I most certainly was NOT expecting him to be suspended.
What I really wanted was a 5 minute major to be called during the game. The league needs to tell its referees that any shot like that needs to be an automatic 5, and possibly 5 and a game. That’s the only way you will work to eliminate this type of hit. But the league has proven time and time again that it doesn’t care about its players.
All head shots (head being the principal point of contact), hits on the numbers, and boarding calls, should be automatic 5 mins. No exceotions. The only exception I would consider would be if the head was the principal point of contact, but the “victim” ducked at the last second. Implement this rule, and you will see these types of hits significantly reduce within the first year.
Did anyone see league pos Arber Xhekaj repeatedly punching a Caps player in the back of the head tonight (Tuesday 13 Jan)? I forget which Caps player it was, but at the end of the fight, the Caps guy ends up on his knees with his back to Arber, and Wifi disgrace to the league punches him in the back of the head about three times, possibly even four. That guy wouldn’t be in the league if I was running things in Montreal. That guy is a liability, and is going to seriously hurt someone.

They think they are building a fan base in south florida… they arent check the attendance on any sports team down their… winning yea the seats are packed, losing its crickets (tampa by contrast win or lose has been close to or sold out almost every season). This is why Cooper has kept fighters on the team and when they play florida the game ends up with 20 penalties.
Bill Daley has a son working for Florida so suspensions are not allowed,they cheated thier way to back to back Cup's and will again this year.

No. Stop the sanitization of hockey. I do hate Florida and dont believe they should have a team when Ville-Quebec doesnt, but I'm tired of the softness everyone is trying to get on board with.
1:12 I was in attendance, and a Panthers fan, and even I was shocked he hadn't been ejected… That's, at the very least, a 5min all day… 🙄.
All 7 non-Panthers Atlantic teams, and anyone else for that matter, should make an agreement to play the Panthers as hard and dirty as the Panthers play. There may be some suspensions, but the league might take notice when the Panthers are playing half their AHL team after 28 games of hell.
If you really want this not to happen anymore put a red line around the entire rink 3 ft from the boards and tell the players if you're past this line and check it's automatic suspension and severe fine. There is no disputing it after that.
NHL IS RIGGED FOR PANTHERS and next tor VEGAS. if that was any canadian team it would be a ten game suspension.
You know he’s boarded Zub before, and threw a terrible hit on Girgensons in pre season? He’s got multiple boarding cases in the last 12 months alone

As a Panthers fan, a major and suspension 100% but the narrative that the league is in cahoots with the panthers org is childish and salty
