Only thing that could’ve made this better is if retiring 91 could’ve been episode 891
Ghost went fishing, refs didn't bite, Ghost FAFO. 🤷♂️
Detroit needs grit. Schenn from STL, Olivier from CLB or a gritty D-man.
I got misty eyed watching that ceremony, and it was like revisiting my childhood.
Couldn’t help myself, had to get a fedorov jersey at the game. Ceremony was a really special experience
you guys make being a wings fan even more fun. keep it up
For one tapping a guys stick from behind on a back check is not slashing by any definition of the rule. Secondly the ref signaled holding initially then switched it to fit his narrative bs call. Ryan you gotta stop trying to find reasons to stick up for poor officiating. Just like the Copp stick check from behind. I know we've seen worse called but none of it is justifiable. Not in the past and not in the Carolina game. Can you imagine if they called that nonsense regularly? The league is embarrassing enough.
Lets be honest, the sharks have never b een a free win for us
Don’t worry guys I cried three times during that ceremony. I got my love for the wings from my mom and she passed in 2009. Yzerman and Fedorov were our jerseys, hers and mine, and all I could think is “I wish you could see it mom” and “welcome home 91.”
So beautiful and so long overdue. My favorite part was that he said to excuse him for being a hockey player not a public speaker and then he crushed it. What a special athlete and I’m so fortunate I got to see him play
Also the admission that it’s his one big regret… it shows what a humble and amazing guy he is, and how he grew and deserves the legend. Just a gracious man
Larkin is a choker. Put us around 6 points out of playoff position and I bet he immediately starts playing better. Hopefully we don't find ourselves there.
Fedorov was my favorite Wing growing up but I don't he should of gotten retired for leaving to the Ducks.
Marco Kasper should be a healthy scratch for three games, with a Griffins call-up taking his spot. Moreover, Elmer Söderblom needs to be placed on the Larkin/Finnie line. Söderblom is a player who is not properly spotted for his skill set. He may not punish opponents the way the coaching staff would like for someone his size, but he consistently keeps pucks alive on the boards, sustains offensive-zone cycles, and—unlike too many others—he can actually SCORE.
robert thomas should absolutely be target #1. the long term center issue on this team is scary and this would relieve so much of that.
Take finnie off larkins line
Federov signing in Anaheim was a blessing in disguise. Cap was 39 million after the lockout and he obviously didn't work in Babcock's system.
Loved the laughter when the camera cut to Mccarty staring into his phone high AF 😅. "This is being professionally recorded and archived, but high levels of THC tell my brain to record it on my phone!"
I would get Raymond back with Larkin. I think JVR would be a good third piece on that line, or possibly Soderblom. It would be cool if Soderblom could grow into a JVR type of player with better mobility. I like his possession skills but would him to shoot more.
I need that wood tray on the couch. Perfect for joint rolling.
AJo only scores sick AF goals
Great show guys I am going to question some game strategy. Against Carolina we were up 3-1 and on the PP why have 4 forwards and 1 defenseman? We have a pair of Mo and Ed that both have decent offensive abilities and also can give you some ability to defend. That shorthanded goal put Carolina right back in the game.
Could you imagine if Kane timed getting 500 and All Time American scoring leader on Federov to the rafters night?!!! 😮….
I saw on X NHL trade rumors, Alexis Lafreniere to Detroit for Marco Kasper and a 1st, what do you think of this idea?
If Kasper string together a few decent games they should trade him for literally anything
What is the cost of Thomas? Danielson + 1st + ?
This team is poised for another collapse. Hard to ignore that they are about 20th in most of the predictive team stats. Hardest remaining schedule. Gonna be brutal. And as always, Ben Chiarot is a part of the problem. I cannot understand how you guys don't see that lol
Why haven't they tried jvr, Larkin, Raymond yet? Boom. They just did.
Brad will be happy. Its Thursday, day after this episode and Raymond is back on the top line, along with JVR.
Friday vs San Jose we get a look at a line of larkin/raymond/JVR.
poor evan man
1st, Danielson, and what else for Robert Thomas? Thomas would ease my fear of our 1st line C after Larkin ages out. Stevey gotta take a swing sometime and the clock is ticking with Larkin/Debrincat ages
Go Admirals!
JVR scoring almost 91 seconds into the game and Kane executing that pass like Fedorov did to Doug Brown in the Cup clinching game in ‘98 made that night very special. Most energy in that building in a very long time. It felt like playoff stakes from puck drop.
Kasper is a lost cause for this season.
