Everyone saying he needs to shut up basically, go down there on the ice and listen to that. Itβs probably super distracting for the players. βBut oh! Suck it up!β Youβll say, but in reality, youβre just saying you donβt care for the team.
If you truly cared for the team, then you would stop and listen to the captain. Even on the phone it sounds really annoying. A cool idea, but really really annoying in person I bet.
None of the "fans" complaining about this have the hockey knowledge to understand that the reason the players don't like it is because they are not able to tell if it's the ref blowing the whistle or a fan. That is incredibly disruptive and could even end up costing them the game on a blown play. Brainless new market fans.

So you want no fans like you had in phoenix? Stupid entitled player that has done nothing yet.
12,000 fans at a Utah game sounds a lot different than 4,000 OR LESS in Arizona. At $7.15 Million per season, learn to DEAL WITH IT.
Sack up kid!
This is what you get when you give a team to a non hockey market. Best to move them back to Phoenix.
Misophonia.
A pampered millionaire telling loyal regular fans to stop is hilarious
Dance for us kid. We pay your salary
Spoiled brat tbh
Bro just lost a fan so fast, what a loser
Mammoth fans are lame
Everyone commenting here is a whistler.
Regardless its annoying af imagine being a player and had that to look forward to every home game.
At least it's not vuvuzelas
What is he supposed to be afraid of speaking up? Give me a break, the whistling is annoying. Heβs spot on.
Suck is up buttercup! Pay attention the game, not the crowd. What a loser!
Imagine hockey people saying that other sports are soft when they canβt handle people whistling lmao.
I'm ngl, you're a professional athlete. If noise in crowds gets you annoyed, maybe play in the minors.
Love a guys comment here i read "If you wanna whistle, become a ref" – Spot on
We're all still wondering why Utah even has a team lol
Feel the frenzy against the Utah Car Alarms π
