  1. True and sincere advice for all Edmonton Oilers Fans to help cope with their latest Stanley Cup Final loss:

    1. Practice your "what if" scenarios. What if the puck bounced differently? What if the ref saw it? These hypothetical victories are just as valid as real ones.
    2. Perfect the art of finding "positives" in every setback. A 5-1 Game 6 SCF loss is just a valuable learning experience for what promises to be a very strong "next year."
    3. Be exceedingly "proud" of effort. Winning and reality are overrated when you can claim boundless "effort," regardless of the final score or trophy count.
    4. Revisit the 1980s frequently. Living in past glories is a healthy, productive way to escape the harsh realities of the present. Highly recommended.
    5. Invest in even more "We Believe" merchandise. Positive affirmations are key, and external validation and victories are completely unnecessary when you have such profound internal conviction.
