Mediocre Mike is a really poor strategist. Mismanages the game clock and timeouts regularly. Always has a game or two each season where his team is woefully underprepared, and squeaks out 8 or 9 wins a season because the Steelers still generally draft well.
I wouldn't be bragging about Andy Reid's coaching tree. John Harbaugh is the only one that's successful and was an assistant 17 years ago under Reid in Philadelphia.

The nfl made the Rooney rule, the Steelers owner to try and combat it by having to consider minorities for coaching jobs. While nfl teams follow that rule they don’t hire minorities typically, check what percentage of tomlins coaches are minorities and wonder why none of them are being picked up
Every team in the AFC north div has won a more recent post season game than Tomlin led Steelers,two have advanced to a more recent conference championship,one a more recent SB appearance .Tomlin is only steelers headcoach during SB era to ever lose post season contest to div foe , omething he's did three times . I'm a Tomlin supporter but I'm objective , you can't rationally dismiss his losing career playoff record 8-11 a record breaking for SB winning HC's 6 consecutive playoff loses ,only 3 conference championship game appearances in 18 yrs as a headcoach ,when you consider the talent he's possessed on some of his teams . He's failed to maximize his talent sufficiently ,not necessarily in terms of multiple SB appearances or excessive amount of conference championship visits ,but he's objectively supposed to have more than the meager amount he has with 18 yrs as a headcoach with the legendary ownership patience , respectable gm talent evaluation, eventual Hofers , all pro ,pro bowl talent he had . Those folks who enjoy regurg6the ,"y'all gonna miss him when he's gone ,who you gonna replace him with "jargon seem to have selective amnesia, the Steelers success replacing two previous SB winning HC's before Tomlin , the Pennsylvania neighbor eagles ,AFC north div foe Ravens ,49ers ,cowboys ,have also succeeded at that task ,thus it's not a insurmountable goal , especially since the Steelers already did it multiple times.
