The Ottawa Senators are suddenly feeling very much alive again. After thumping the New York Rangers last night, the Sens have now won two straight and pushed themselves right back into the playoff race.
The new line of Brady Tkachuk, Dylan Cozens and Ridly Greig set the tone in this one, bringing energy, speed and a whole lot of bite. What has clicked for Ottawa over the past two games, and is this the version of the team we’ve been waiting for?

They gotta leave these lines as is. They need to let the chemistry happen. Batherson and Zetterlund are a better fit for Timmy than Brady is.
As a second comment: I love Nick Cousins, he's got so much character, his compete level is maximum all the time and I do believe he drives other teams crazy. He's honestly become one of my favorite senators of all time and he's only been here a short while but I think he's so effective. He also comes up with a big goal every now and then. I just really like the guy and I think his value per dollar is amazing. The other guy that's such a bright spott this year is Jordan Spence! This guy is moving the puck well beyond his dollars, he's got an extremely good shot too. As of the current data I think he's registered the 5th hardest shot on the team right now. Spence is also a genetic specimen, his physique and conditioning are amazing. We credit sandy with the conditioning and he deserves it but is say Spence is probably the second most fit D on the team.
Just can't fathom not playing MacDermid against a team who is the very reason why you traded for him, especially with their 10-3-3 record when he plays. If he comes in for Cousins, that also takes away Cousins potentially doing something ratty that sparks a bigger thing in the game.
All it takes is one stupid hit from Xhekaj, Struble, or Anderson on one of our stars. If MacDermid isn't in the lineup, we have nobody. They have like 3 fighters lol

I am with Wally for sitting Dermy out this time but normally I would of absolutely put him in against Montreal. Just love how this 4th line is clicking right now and we need those points. Not saying we wouldn't get the points with Dermy in but it's probably our best chance if we keep the lineup the same.
