    Canucks need to get an unprotected 1st, and more for Sherwood, including conditional additional picks if the team gets to the final, more if they win.

    It would be ideal to trade Pettersson and start the team over with a fresh slate. Unfortunately they wouldn’t get enough back for him given his production and his contract.

    TL;DR – Kiefer Sherwood: Trade talks have ramped up since the break; Canucks still want a 1st-round pick or equivalent for a $1.5M winger, and a rough “what if” extension convo (~<4M) was far below his camp’s ask of 5M+, so a trade in early January is still the likeliest outcome.

    Jake DeBrusk: After his healthy scratch, teams started calling and the Canucks are willing to listen, but they’re not trying to push him out; his contract is generally seen as palatable with no retention expected, and Vancouver would want a young, controllable, mid-20s piece (or equivalent value) back rather than a cap dump swap.

    DeBrusk will stay with Canucks. Kiefer Sherwood will be moved. Montreal might be the place, Angstrom younger Xhekaj and Owen Back to Canucks. Garland to Pittsburg for Owen Pickering Atly Calvert and a 3rd round pick. Sherwood wants 5.5 mill a year for 5 plus years. Demko also might be moved. Where ????.

    I wish we could trade the owner and get an expansion team. Couldn’t be much worse than the current 55 year debacle. 💩🤡

    With so much parity around the league, there should be teams lining up for Sherwood at the deadline. A 1st round pick is NOT a problem for the $1.5mil winger. I'm not sure we'll get anything for Debrusk, but Garland we'll get another 1st round pick easy…

    I wish they could move ep 40 and boeser they’ve been floating out there let’s face it ep 40 isn’t going to make it back where he once was and boeser is dead weight but that would be a tough trade, to do DeBrusk I wouldn’t trade and why would you move him ,you move Kane he’s doing nothing 11:40
