4th line got hammered this afternoon. They’ve been OK this year, but not this afternoon.
Fantilli stats are pretty similar to MacKinnon for the start of the career. Avs around the time they got MacKinnon were a lot like the Jackets now. Avs were 29th, 20th, 29th in the league the 3 years prior to getting MacKinnon. Year they got MacKinnon they were 3rd.Next 5 years they were 21st, 21st, 30th, 17th, 17th and then were 3rd and consistent contenders after that.
You know you’re a really bad team when you’re happy with losing 4-0 and you say that’s your standard you should play up to.
Well, Elvis played pretty good today…did a great job containing Avs top players.. just could not get any momentum on offense…It still was a worthwhile trip to Denver.. see you on Thursday… go Jackets Go…
I will say it….we suck
It sure didn't look to me like the Avs gave 100% the whole game, and it also didn't feel like the Jackets were really that close at any point. I've never ever seen a team so pleased with itself after getting shutout by a third string goalie and losing their 4th game in a row. You think the guys on the other bench would be high fiving each other if they were in last place? I definitely remember MacKinnon saying, "I haven't won sh*t" when someone tried to give him his participation trophy. Where is that fire on the Jackets?
This team just plan sucks. They are so frustrating to watch. 25 years of not being relevant and ownership is ok with that. That’s how you can tell when ownership cares or it’s just about dollars

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’ve watched basically 25 years of meaningless hockey. In the years we did happen to speak into the playoffs, we’ve been a quick exit. On to more recent years, I have now seen the Blackhawks, Ducks, Flyers, Sharks turn things around and rebuild/retool faster than us. Someone within this organization needs to step up and bold face say that this is unacceptable. I’m sick of hearing that the effort was there, or, we played the right way after a slap in the face collapse. A W is a W and an L is an L. We need a reality check.
