The Oilers and NHL honour Leon Draisaitl for reaching 1,000 career points in a ceremony at Rogers Place prior to a Hockey Night in Canada matchup between Edmonton and Los Angeles.
I remember at the Draft party for Connor McDavid, there were Oilers at the event on stage, I couldn't find Leon. The person I was with pointed him out to me. He was off stage near the boards signing autographs for kids. That was when I knew this guy was a Beaut. Congrats on 1000!
Unfortunately Leon is not as famous as for example Dirk Nowitzki is in germany, but we are very proud to have him as a ambassador 🇩🇪 Time for a well deserved Stanley Cup now! Come on Oilers 🏆💪
