Parroting the media here, but its not a rebuild or tank until underperforming or valuable vets with cap/term are traded to make room for younger players playing time.
I’ll put up with four losing seasons as long as we’re loading up on 1st rounders. Also. I barely watched the Canucks over the last two years, but now I’m excited again knowing we have a chance to get real skilled youngsters again. Tank this year, tank next year, you’ll be ok financially. But by 2030 we’ll be golden.
Also, do whatever you can to trade Boeser, EP40 and Demko, and don’t retain salary!

IF EP40 can be traded to LA, do it. For this reason only: any true rebuild of a team involves having a new core. Who is the current core of this team? As the center if the 1st line, he is. Quinn Hughes was a genuine star and the core of how they planned their defense for years ahead, and look how that went.
The point is, if the Canucks plan is to hang on to EP40 for a few more years, till his contract does not seem relatively expensive, whatever, then it is not a rebuild.
I'll be fascinated to see how they move players who's performance has been so bad, or they have been constantly injured.
