When things were good, JT Miller was great. When things were not as good, he seemed to become more part of the issue in spite of his hate for losing and his desire to win. Miller really did win me over in the 23-24 season, but in the end, I am really happy with the results of the trade. I hope fans will give a loud and long JT Miller chant this evening, but I also hope EP40 lights up the Rangers with his best game of the season and gets an even bigger Let's Go Petey! chant.
for me, he was paid to play hockey. he took it apon himself to start running the dressing room which he didn't know how to do. he should have played his game, have shower and go home. rinse…repeat.
Lol Dhali still pushing the Tocchet was a great coach narrative. Who cares who is and isn’t a “Tocchet type of player.” Tocchet’s gone. His style doesn’t matter anymore. Thank God.
I’m a fan of both Petey and Millsy. I almost bought a ticket to the game tonight specifically to see JT and cheer for him. I ultimately ended up not doing so, but I’ll be wearing my #9 jersey on the couch tonight. I hope he gets a big ovation.
No video tributes for toxic bullshit honestly. We were set back significantly because of the rift, which he was 50% responsible for. Just move on and dont look back.
Would prefer to have Miller when there are hard games (playoffs etc.) than 2-ply Pettersson. You're more likely than not get a drag them team along with them type performance out of Miller than EP11.6 at that time. The team is worse off with Miller not on the roster, and the idiotic management is still scrambling to fill the hole that his absence left. Does anyone remember game one last year against Calgary when Miller when full bore into Kevin Rooney. He was fully into it. Only when it looked like (from the outside, as none of us know what really happened internally) when he needed to motivate the highest paid player and failed that things fell apart. Fault on both sides for sure. But what's been and gone has been and gone. I'd still prefer to have him playing for Vancouver. And I do hope he gets a chant and a video tribute.
Sure seems like Tochett as a lot to answer for in this whole soap opera , JT and petty always tolerated each other before his arrival, they played together on arguably the best line in the league for a while. We know that if tochett looks at a player and doesn’t see his own reflection he is gonna have issues with that player, if he tasked miller with toughening up Petey knowing millers tendency to cross the line from playing with emotion to playing emotionally, he lit a powder keg . Tochett might be able to put in a rigid system but you need to manage different personalities to be successful. Would love to know his role in this whole thing , sure seems like this came from him and that he led to the lose of miller
He was the heart and soul of this team for many years. Played hard and with integrity. And every coach loved having him on the team. That should tell you something.
He deserves the biggest of standing ovations in his return to Rogers.
It was always a Tocchet Miller feud. Tocchet made Miller want out, that's really why Tocchet is gone too. They put management in a rock and hard place. Sadly the over emphasized the petey/Miller feud to fool the masses.
Ok miller deserves a little hurrah but he did self righteously drive the team dynamics down and for that he doesn’t deserve any further notice nor accolade. Add him to the soon to be forgotten list and erased.

Doing great in New York, wonder how much the Canucks helped him
Rick tocchet had no control of the room with the top players battling one another

I'm very glad the Canucks kept the right player

From an outside view not knowing fully what all was going on with personality's in the room.
It was super hard to lose JT

Never going into the rafters but he was funny to watch every season but one.
Should have kept Miller. Only low IQ betas think EP40 was the better choice. Hopefully Miller goes off tonight.

The Canucks carried JT Miller. Change my mind.
