the up side is now they can't lose to the worst team in the NHL
So look, I've been posting a good while that Lafreniere strikes me as a lazy player. 99% effort in this league is not good enough. Laffy started last season promising until he signed the contract and that slight drop off in effort sank his ship, and I said this season's success depends on Laffy waking up which obviously hasn't happened.
It's not too late for this player if he'd just WTFU and start training like a madman! With Bread there's actually a world where they sign him. For the right price he's got 2-3 years of stardom in him, at least in the regular season. We'll see how the dominos fall on this miserable season….

If they want to tank,they should literally go down fighting, because tough guys are the only thing Rangers have a big supply of in the AHL. Fans at least would enjoy games again.

Agree 100% Brett. The Rangers never treated Laf like he was ready to be a key player on this team and ironically, that became true. If you look at SJ and CHI, there is no question who the franchise has trusted their future to. The Rangers didn't even trust Laf with PP2 minutes for 5 years.
1. Trade Laffable, Offman, Sheary, Vaks, Soucy, Berard all or in any combination (but must inclufe Laffable) for Byfield
2. Trade Pan for bag of puck
Why trade Pan – simple (a) not winning with him – so has NO hockey value only entertainment value
(b) need to get his cap money off the books
(c) not scoring with him (how many times already shut out this year?)
(d) He is like 6 or 7th highest paid player in the league…are u kidding me

Idk about Svenberg. The way you're talking about him is very reminiscent of how people would talk about Kakko vs Hughes and we all saw how that turned out. McKenna should be the only target and anyone other than him is settling imo.

Laf used to play in the 2nd shift with Panarin and Trocheck, it was a success
I'm all for a Fire Sale and tanking for a chance at the #1 pick. But zero NYR fans trust Drury to bring back good young talent in trades
