This week Sam & Natalie are joined by fan favourite and former Manchester United coach…Rene Meulensteen.
Rene Meulensteen sits down alongside Sam Allardyce and Natalie Pike to discuss all things football from Manchester United’s decision to sack Ruben Amorim to how they should play against Manchester City in their upcoming Manchester Derby.
They start the pod by reacting to the weekend’s FA Cup action including Macclesfield’s huge win against Crystal Palace and Manchester United being knocked out by Brighton.
The trio then discuss in depth about Manchester United’s problems, what Michael Carrick needs to do if he is to succeed at the club and could we now see Marcus Rashford return to Manchester United now Amorim has gone?
Rene & Sam then chat about who are the best candidates to take the Manchester United job full time including why Carlo Ancelotti needs to be their number 1 priority and if not then they should aim for Newcastle’s Eddie Howe.
Dean, Sam & Natalie then discuss Jason Wilcox recent media quotes, Harry Wilson’s read hot form and Can Manchester United finish in the top 4 this season?
Finally we end the pod with our fan favourite tactics masterclass as Rene & Sam explain how Manchester United need to play in order to secure a result against Manchester City, where United’s biggest weaknesses are on the pitch and who they need to sign in January.

Biggest weakness is the Man utd Owners . Ffs
great comments from both if the big man plays well then you have no chance
Cud Allardyce stay relevant if he cudnt talk shit about Manchester United? doubt it.
While since I've watched you guys, good craic
The problem for man utd is recruitment with respect to the type of playing style, there is no consistency as they keep changing coaches, and everyone come with his idea instead of looking for a coach who play the UTD way. at the moment the biggest problem is midifield area, there is no players profile who runs a lot (there was Fred and Herrera) who did that job very well, with the players they have maybe they have to introduce academy players to do that job.
GLAZERS OUT 🫵🏻
IDIOTS (INEOS) OUT 🫵🏻
Man Utd should have appointed Rene as Interim manager instead of Fletcher or Carrick.
Sorry Rene I thought Ally McCoist had melted. Optician calls.
Here's an idea, everyone give me your money, i need £15bil, I'll double the ticket prices and bring us back again. ❤
I’d have Sam as interim manager in a flash!
You should have chapters on in my opinion
So when Amorim was there it was all about ‘the system’ he should play a back 4.Now everyone is saying the players are not good enough or Ineos is the problem!!
Spare a thought for those Man U fans who have spent hours learning the word’s to ‘Ole’s at the wheel.’
It's so annoying how someone like Rene can come in and explain how to simply fix things using common sense in 10 minutes. For example two lines of 4 in defence.
Why do managers over-complicate things. Why do players not understand these basics of teamwork? They have been playing football for years. It should be easy.
Why do coaches like Rene and Allardyce understand the game far more than players, makes no sense.
Finally someone said it. There are 3-4 goals in last few games that DDG saves in his sleep. Lad is big upgrade on Onana who crumbled but still far from top shelf.
Honest to god, as a lifelong United fan I'd give it to Big Sam and Rene as his assistant. No word of a lie, Big Sam can help United. No nonsense football, fast, attacking play, move the ball through the lines quickly and make us tough as nail and hard to beat.
Big Sam says he’d be on the Cunha scene.
JASON WILCOX IS THE MANAGER AND CARRICK IS THE PUPPET. AMORIM told him to get stuffed.
Amorim wanted Martínez but Wilcox and Vivell said he was too old.
He wanted Watkins and Wilcox and Vivell said he was too old again.
He wanted Semenyo in the summer but Wilcox and Vivell said 70 million was too expensive so let us wait till winter and save 5 million.
We know where the problem is.
Buy big players = waste of money
Spending millions on managers = waste of money
Not using academy players = waste of money
Carrick the perfect fix for the above
I completely disagree with this panel regarding Senne Lammens. He's already proving to be a great young goalkeeper. We certainly do need a better reserve keeper, though. The main issue, however, is that no coach or player can save this club until the ownership and boardroom changes.
Hayden hackney we need …what a player and up for grabs for £29 million .a great talent
For a Dutchman rene,s English is impeccable
Imagine Man Utd get Aresne Wenger total control like at Arsenal. He would have the bollocks to rip shit up there and build them back up again
United is the theatre of nightmares at the moment. Every footballer that goes there ruins their career
😂😂😂dean henderson getting his come uppence
Nothing will change until the owners leave
#ineosout / #glazersout
Yoro is shite..
Renee, wrong about Lamens..
F*** Rashford, to many No 10's as it is…..
Full sure i seen Big Sam wearing that T-Shirt back in the 90's
4462 Utd formation…
Gobby Neville and the Farce of 92 are basically the MUFC Sporting Directors as per Amorim comments.
The board/Wilcox do not have the strength of character to think for themselves.
4 at the back hasnt worked for the last 13 years but now it's apparently mandatory at mufc.
Give me strength 🙏 X
2 pts at the most vs City and Arseholes..
Not convinced with Cunha, he's done SFA..
Jason Wilcox is one lucky man. How he got the United job without experience of winning at the top level is mind boggling. This really shows the continual incompetence of the board. They make lazy hires, things go wrong, then they fire the “coach”.
Doesn't matter who takes over nothing will change until the Glazers sell up
United are gash. Top to bottom and in the marrow of the club. You’d think with as many examples of what not to do, they would learn, but apparently that’s not an option.
