These announcers are clowns. So are all of you calling that a clean hit – two problems with that being clean: shoulder to head & head to glass, is deliberate – Hathaway was head-hunting; acceleration all the way into the hit, into the boards… that should have been a boarding call. Maybe not a major if you don't acknowledge the shoulder to head, but at least a minor for boarding should have been laid against Philadelphia.
On the other hand, if you let Hathaway go, then you pretty much gotta do the same for Gudas – therefore, no instigator call (although the case for instigator could have been reasonably made).
The call for instigator by JJ is disgusting as a flyers fan. He usually has good opinions on stuff like this. Gudas dropped his stick way earlier but gloves went off at the same time.
