Putting out that public statement was such a hilariously, obviously bad move lol it's like the GM wanted to pick up Brady's wife when they broke up on the rebound
I can understand why they felt the need to put out a statement. It's just the statement itself is formulated so poorly… Like… This could have been done with the utmost indifference.
Those players donn't cheat on the wives then there wouldnt be a prob
Now explain why they just signed James Reimer if the story wasn't true ?
At this point, Ullmark might be better off in the witness protection program…..

I think the whistleblower was right. You can tell the way they're all acting now. Panic mode
To my answer the question why would you give this story more light. I think it was pretty bright already and my guess is the players needed something official to show their wives and girlfriends that it wasn’t true. Guaranteed all of their partners already knew of the rumour and silence was only making it grow and the statement at least gives a rebuttal.
Seriously is this hockey or Real Housewives? Move on guys.
