For Lizzo, I kept saying with the cap rising, a 3 by 3.5 would've been good, but Dubas made a great deal. It's also good for securing the 4th line. Loved him in LA, and got my dad to change his opinion on him too this season lol.

If there was ANYONE that was a "must extend" on the roster this year, it was Lizzotte. Hes a warrior, and he truly does drag the team into the fight every night. With the cap space the team has, I feel like the 2.25M AAV was a STEAL! He could have easily went to free agency and probably gotten double that on a shorter term elsewhere. As hockey people call them, hes a "glue guy" which are necessary on winning teams

Lizzotte is a sure thing, but none of this matters more than who shows up night to night. The “first time playing together C league pickup team” is maddening. When you can’t complete a pass over and over and over at this level, you’re done. When you turn the puck over with crap passes directly to the opponent in open ice, you’re done. It’s like the Pens are bi-polar.
All I can say is, after last night, the Pens better win tonight.
EK – Karlsson is injured and will be out longer term. This clearly is a massive blow. What do you do if you're Dubas? This could seriously derail the season.
