Jamie McLennan on another Thatcher Demko injury, Markstrom’s struggles in New Jersey and more
Former NHL Goaltender and TSN NHL Analyst Jamie McLennan joined the guys and shared his thoughts on another injury for Thatcher Demko and Jacob Markstrom allowing 9 goals and being left in the net in New Jersey.
Time 2 trade Demko when he gets back in the lineup so the Canucks don't get stuck with another shitty contract worth 25 million for a guy who is injury prone
Demmers will be glued and taped back together again. Rinse and repeat whilst expecting a different result is madness. Demko can't be traded.. his worth and contract along with prone to injury is horrid. I think his career is over.
I have been saying this for several years, but Demko's injury profile is exactly like Cory Schneider's during his time with the Devils. For top flight athletes, recovering from injuries is different from us laymen overcoming a twisted ankle so we can play pick-up basketball again at the Y. To recover to the point where you can be an elite athlete competing with the best of the best is a tall task, and many great athletes have their careers cut substantially short by injuries that they just cannot 100% recover from. I feel terrible for Demko, but unfortunately, I think he will continue to be injury-ridden for the rest of his career.
Chronically injured player still has a year left on his deal. Canucks management: I know!! let's sign him a year early for top money for another 3 years ahead of time!!! 🤣🤣🤣. Horrific management, shockingly bad. .
Demko….needs to go. The last 4 yrs in row its the same thing. I bet he's out for a month or longer. Same story every year. It's so frustrating. Time for a healthy and better goalie.

to me they need to keep garland Petey and meyers. Thats it. those veterans can help the new players the rest either trade or let go.
Demmer's career is over. It was some time ago. Yet another player Francesco is paying to NOT play for the Canucks.

I'd like to see a graph showing Demko and Carey Prices stats and missed games. I know Price was injured more but it's getting closer.

Demko should be placed in a backup roll from here on. Less minutes = recovery= less chance of injury.
