Kane, Cop and Cat save the day yet again. Larkin and the top pp unit almost single handedly cost them the game. Gee, it sure is a good thing the best powerplay guy ever isn’t on it.
Raymond’s phantom penalty was actually a textbook great play. Like, a ref might call it, it was a soft call, but if you’re Raymond you make that play 10 times out of 10. Of course maybe try not giving up 10 2on1s while you’re on the powerplay first.
I like that Todd will push back against the narratives and leading questions the media tries to set up. No shade to Daniella, she's awesome, but that was absolutely not a dominant game. It felt like 50 minutes of defense. If this team can play with half of the intensity and puck possession that Carolina does, we'd be unstoppable.
why on earth is kane not on the first powerplay. thats a mistake. i get it JVR scored on the first powerplay and has been great lately but he shouldnt replace a weapon like kane on the first powerplay. Big mistake by the coaching staff and i hope they change it.
You red wing turned me off this game. I will not allow myself to watch a team blow 3 goals the way you guys did this game. This game was really not a good sign and as a true fan that will critic his team for the better. This was shameful. Red wing fans just want to talk good and say go red wings and not see the bigger picture. Respect is earned and this one wasnt. You even got lucky to win. People pay money and invest time not to jsu get to a 3rd period and see that.
Goal scores through closed legs and it was a clear open shot from a mile away to see it coming. Than a short handed goal than a 2 man advantage goal in the last minute and then almost a short handed goal for Carolina to win.
Red wing fans are happy.
Detroit fans and maple leaf fans should go get married.

I didt even watch the overtime because i was to busy puking from detroits performance. My tram sucks even thoughbthey are 1st but its all just a illusion because watch them go down to the bottom now after watching this circus act
I'm terrified for the Olympic break. Gonna love watching it but I'm worried about how we might look after the break. Hopefully better then we did after 4 nations. Staying hopeful tho! LGRW!!!!

I'm blown away by the perception of the second period. I was at the game, and no, I don't think it makes me special, but they didn't dominate at all during that period. They got the two goals, and that was huge. I'm not trying to take away from that, but in the building, on the offensive side for the 2nd, I felt like last year any time the Wings didn't ice the puck and had possession in the O-zone later in that period.

Oof. Love Kane but he was horrible in 3 on 3. Gave the puck away and then missed a clear breakaway cuz he wasnt paying attention. Thank god we have a coach who for the most part is smart enough to give him too many minutes in these situations
Copp did cross check him by the letter of the law, but not hard enough to knock him down. Standard net front battle, happens literally dozens of times a game.
I know as a fan i want red wings win but i agree with Mickey Redmond, because honesty is everything, he said during the goal replay that it was a penalty. Sometimes it goes like that, call favors you, youll take it. Gotta play better, as a whole. on to next W.
