FanDuel Sports Network’s Joey Vitale speaks to Blues defenseman Philip Broberg about a new six-year contract extension that will keep him in St. Louis through the 2031-32 season.
Good job Joey!! I remember the zoom call with Broberg after the offer sheet, Philip didn’t sound very happy. I’m glad St. Louis fans could change his mind and want him to stay here! Great signing!!
Oilers fan here .First , congratulations to Philip Broberg on his extension, Its very frustrating that the oilers have had bad drafting and salary cap mismanagement for the last 20 years. Losing both Broberg and Holloway was a very incompetent moment for the oilers brain trust! The Oilers could have traded Kane and maybe would have been able to keep one of these great players. Congrats to St Louis fans on getting two big pieces for their future rebuild.
And after the extension signing the very next game he gets injured (upper body) in the 1st period right after he gets an assist. That sums up the Blues season for 2025-26.

So glad we didn’t overpay on another contract. Good deal for a stud of a defenseman. Thanks for coming back Philip!

Legit Core piece! Love it! Congratulations Philip: well earned.
Let's Go Blues!
$8m/yr for a 25 point, injury prone defenseman who isn’t physical, wow. Doug Armstrong not splitting too many atoms in his spare time lol.
