  1. The Reilly problem is easy, force him to retract his no move clause, and then trade him for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. DONE. That`s 7,5 mill gone.

  2. Like other organizations did and won the cup…Leafs have to have balls to make these moves..there not an aggressive organization that's the problem.

  3. Toronto's defense needs young good players, Rielly is not playing to his play. Untradeable without retention, but better than a buyout.

  4. the leafs need a conditioning coach that focuses on longevity and endurance. Injuries are preventable with work.

  5. Don't want to be negative, but Bournie mentioned "seeing 34 score 421 times" which is kind of impossible with the amount of blackouts the league imposes, blackouts that defy any explanation btw.😉

  6. Morgan Rielly is an ALBATROSS around the neck of this team and has been since the team gave him his current contract. Dollar for dollar the WORST D-man in the NHL. And we got him for 5 more years ! 😂🤣😂

  7. Never beating your lips for hours at a time over O'Reilly. He is past his due date. Trade him ASAP and get something back for him. He is a big liability to the leafs a big henderance to the leafs progression.

  8. Short Answer; At this point in time there should only be 2 options, Do whatever it takes to force him to wave his NMC so he can be traded, all it should take is working with him on his trade destination and anything beyond being helpful in that regard should result in Reilly being sat every game or bought out to fully subtract him off this roster.

Long Answer; Morgan Reilly should have been traded 10 years ago, You don't build legitimate Cup Contenders around a 3rd pair D playing 1st pair minutes, especially ones that spent multiple years intentionally tanking prior to a teams youth movement, those people have lost their ability to hate to lose and all of this has been known for 100 years already. The Leafs had 150+ players come in and out of the Leafs locker room during the decade of the core 4 and not one of those players was a legitimate top pairing D that would push Reilly down.

Its more then fair to say at no point have the Leafs ever seriously tried to win in the playoffs, The proof is in their own inaction. You had Matthews, Marner, Nylander and Tavares for a decade and spent the entire time playing with the fringe forwards instead of getting them a goalie and appropriate top pairing D's 8+ years ago. This current contract for Morgan Reilly will go down as the worst thing Dubas did to/for the Leafs.

  9. “If only Matthews showed up in the Playoffs.” In Game 7s it’s fair to want more, but Leafs fans are hilarious. Matthews is tied for 4TH MOST PLAYOFF GOALS EVER for them. 3 away from 3rd, 6 away from 2nd and 8 away from 1st. All by 27 years old.

The fact most blame Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tvares etc and not their top1-8 defenseman, 3rd and 4th depth lines, goaltending and most importantly FO/GM is hilarious. They haven’t had close to good enough GM/FO, blueline, depth, goaltending the last decade compared to teams who make and win🏆.

Will be hilarious to see Matthews leave too.

Leafs need their version of 2020s Bill Zito or 1990s Cliff Fletcher at GM soooooooo bad. Keep blaming some of your best players EVER though!

Bourne trying to sell people on the fact Morgan Riley has value is 🥴

  10. Face it–even with a full lineup Leafs were in tough. The injuries too key aging players especially on defense, has rendered this season a goner. People hate to admit it but the absence of Marner has been telling.

  11. There has NEVER been a season Rielly was a good defenseman.
He had seasons where he scored quite a few points but has always been a defensive liability.
It is on TOR management for constantly handing out undeserved contracts.
Fire Treliving and Berube and then rebuild while they still have players worth something.
If they keep all these players and end up not winning a Cup ever they will just walk away for free like Marner did.

  12. Ease down, Sammy, the first Olympic roster is always the most politically expedient. As soon as injuries happen, the alternates will get the call. It'll be fine.

  13. Matthews is the greatest goal scorer in Leaf History. His arrogance and pissy attitude makes him unlikeable. You get the impression that he plays for the name on his back and not for his Fans.

  14. TRADE REILLY FOR BAG OF PUCK I JUST CAN'T WATCH HIM PLEASE MAKES ME SICK HOW BAD HE IS MY GOD 7 MILLION PER SEASON OR BUY HIM OUT AND USE THAT MONEY FOR A NUMBER 1 D MEN PLEASE

  15. I totally agree with Kyper about Matthew Schaefer! Skates just like Connor McDavid. They have very similar builds / styles. 100% needs to be on the Canadian Olympic Team. I absolutely am riveted every time this kid is on the ice. He’s magic!!!!

  16. Totally right. Tkachuk should know better than to let his guard down given how he plays the game.

  17. Reilly still has a full no move clause for 2 more seasons after this one. The only thing the Leafs can do with him is healthy scratch him which means his cap hit remains. I think they should do this. Put in Dermis or pick up another defenseman off waivers.

  18. Waive Rielly. His contract is so expensive, no one will pick him up. Then send him down to the minors to learn how to play defense again!

  19. Is it bad im really hoping someone take a suspension driving Bennett or Machands head into the glass tonight?

  20. Matthews scored the points so you can't take that away from him, but compared to Wendel Clark, Doug Gilmour, Matts Sundin, Dave Keon, George Armstrong he is a BUM as a captain. Those guys were leaders, they inspired the team, they held others accountable … Matthews does none of that.

  21. The fact that the Leafs keep playing Morgan Rielly tells you all you need to know about this organization. Rielly's been terrible for too many years and has cost them critical games in the playoffs. He's even worse than what Brodie, Holl and Gardiner were. Any other defenseman on the team would have been sitting if they played as bad but yet Morgan still gets to play, still gets the ice time, isn't held accountable and it's just another day in stupid Leafs land. Pathetic…

  22. 6:19 we really gonna act like Ovi had a ton of playoff success until he finally won a cup??? Such a retcon of the narrative on the only other goal scorer on his level

  23. 14:47 really gonna say this with a straight face after being a water boy for Marner for so many years Kyp?? Say what you want, but I’ll take Austons individual success over Marner’s failure to reach 100 points with elite talent all but one year AND his yearly magic trick of becoming invisible for the entirety of playoffs ANY. DAY. 🤡🤡🤡

  24. Why has Reilly been protected by the media? He's been atrocious for the last three years. His turnover rate is ridiculous, especially in the Leafs zone. He's slow and typically out of position. And he has no grit, when's the last time Reilly threw a big hit?
