  1. tell me it's flyers commentators without telling me. hit wasnt that bad. he picked his leg up to avoid it. flyers fans and commentators love to cry every time they get hit

  2. Congratulations to the unfortunate who scratched the Deslauriers match, it is not the first that this happens since the violent hit of Boko on Hathaway last season just with the absence of Deslauriers

  3. What a bonehead. Back when I was kid there were no blind side rules in the NHL so back in the 80s and 90s that would have been just 2 minutes for interference.

  4. Players are soft these days. Is this hockey or basketball? He gets bumped and everyone is acting like he almost got killed. Sure, it’s a cheap shot and that dude should be ejected from the game. But I’ve seen guys take legal checks that were WAY harder. You sit out a shift, your enforcer punches the dude in the face a few times, then you get back to it.

  5. The league need to get rid of Parros if he doesn't throw the book at Johnston for that. The puck has been gone for what 3 or 4 seconds and he blindsides him. I'm getting sick of these types of players who instead of lining up a player within the rules so they cheap shot players.

  6. Shut up about the weight difference and hit selection concerns……Johnson wasn't looking at the play and targeted him with the reaching elbow…that should be more than a game misconduct. Hopefully Drysdale is too badly damaged.

  7. I guess that was unintentional. Johnston spotted him from a few meters away and instinctively accommodated his body to hit. Obviously a game misconduct, but any supplementary action is debatable.

  8. And people say the Panthers broadcast team are homers my god lmao. Johnston just being clumsy not looking where he's skating and knocks over a player, and they claim it's super dirty lol. I think 5 and a game was a bit excessive and was only due to the injury that happens, I can't see a suspension because of this. The only reason they would suspend Johnston is because of his reputation as an enforcer and not because it was actually a dirty play.

  9. I'm not excusing the hit, but Drysdale thought he was a real tough guy in their meeting in Philly last year. I doubt the Anaheim players forgot about that. The Flyers should worry more about making the playoffs than needing to beat Anaheim every year.

  10. The play was towards the left boards on the puck battle. Nobody's cutting to the middle of the ice there. Clearly intentional.

  11. am I crazy for thinking he tried to get out of the way? Obviously too late and its still interference. But he didn't stick his foot out he tried to pull it away

  12. I wouldn't say he was looking at him at all….you can see Johnston is tracking the puck. He certainly didn't look like he saw him. Those announcers are ridiculous, he definitely wasn't trying to hit him. Dumb play by play guys making things worse.

  13. What is the guy talking? Drysdale is just looking elsewhere, there`s not even a hit or anything.
Just a collision, must Johnston make way there for a guy that`s playing inline hockey? When ever are you in hockey to give way to someone?
If anything, that`s int. – though i have no idea where Johnston is driving and why, but he`s just gliding and not making a hit at all.
