The Anaheim Ducks vs Washington Capitals matchup was billed as a “revenge game” over Jacob Trouba’s hit on Ryan Leonard, but like most of these games, it never fully lived up to the hype. The Ducks actually struck first for just the 15th time this season, with Olen Zellweger keeping the puck in and finding Chris Kreider for a one-timer to snap his 16-game goal drought. Washington responded with five straight goals, many stemming from defensive breakdowns involving Jackson LaCombe, a brutal line change, and Alex Ovechkin left alone in his office. Anaheim pushed back with three unanswered goals of their own, highlighted by Beckett Sennecke scoring while falling and nearly tying the game later off a beautiful pass from Cutter Gauthier. Ultimately, two empty-net goals sealed a 7–4 loss as the Ducks’ defensive lapses once again overshadowed a strong offensive response, and now they head into a matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers and Trevor Zegras looking to snap out of the funk. #nhl #anaheimducks #washingtoncapitals #hockey

Kreider has been nonexistent for a while. Pretty disappointing for a guy with such a hot start. Not a top 6 forward. Time to make some trades and get a finisher to play with Leo.
This was a laugher of a game. Bad d and goaltending. The only thing I could find rooting for was a rossboss hattrick. The comeback was exciting, although I'm sure a lot of people turned it off by then.
One of the goals was not on Lacombe, Trouba screwed Lacombe by throwing himself on the ice.
Got my hopes up when we made it 4 to 5 but broke my heart and honestly can we bring back husso
Quackers are starting to crumble in crumbs
This is getting ridiculous but i feel a major shakeup is coming that everyone will hate. I still think Dosty has the yips and needs a good sports psychologist, we need help in net but here's the hammer…We need to trade away some young offense for some gritty defense, even more veterans. It's wishful thinking to have a S tier offense and a F tier defense and do well. Offense can always be stopped, Defense is everlasting. Brace yourself, the man who loves winning more than anything behind the bench will suggest some changes and hearts will be broken but it will be for the better. Interesting note, this team started its spiral when Strome came back into the lineup, look it up.
Fight: Trouba got the guy twice with two good ones and it was over
Play: idk but getting scary because they’re like 2-8 in the last ten games.
Carlson and Dostal are slacking a little.
Flyers are going to destroy them.
Husso is back !!!!! 🎉 I think this will help us !!! 🎉🎉
I’m biased since I never wanted him as coach but how many more losses will it take to fire Quennevillain?
Defensive breakdowns, goalie pulls, and 5 or more goals against is just the norm now. Hopefully they can at least make it a close game tonight!
I had them as a maybe a little bit over a .500 team going into the year, and I did get extremely over excited when we got off to the hot start and now its hard not to be overly disappointed. We do need to remember that this team is still very young. We are on pace to score 60 more goals than we did last year which would be a massive improvement in its own. in saying that we are on pace to have 40 more goals than last year scored against us, but with the age of the group I don't see it all coming together all at once, that will come with time. There are glaring holes on defense that I do hope get addressed appropriately and not making a move just for the sake of making a move. While I see someone like Rasmus Andersson being a great option I would hate to see great assets go away unless it was a sign and trade
what really grind my gears was the goalie pulled. we were playing good 5v5 there was no need to pull the goalie
Looking forward to seeing my Kings against the Quacks on the 17th at the Pond.
BRING FUCKIN HUSSO BACK!!!
The best player on this current roster is Sennecke and he's only been in Anaheim for about 5 minutes
Nesterenko gets put on waivers while Strome, Killorn and Vatrano don't. Make that make sense. It's time for a big shake up and that doesn't mean you go and get the Oilers healthy scratches.
nesty waived 😭😭
Those were pretty standard hockey fights? I’m not sure if you expected them to pull out a weapon halfway through or something but being squared up holding the jersey and punching each others faces is classic hockey fighting
Imagine if we sent down Mrazek for Husso after he gave up like 12 goals in his 1st two.
So if Minty is playing much better. Does that make Zelly an option to maybe get moved?
