Idk I'm not gonna panic about 5 years bc the cap is going up so like by the end of those years I can see it being a better deal anyway
I swear, people in the flyers community are absolutely entitled nutbags sometimes. Always negative, and then when something happens that isnt perfect they run to you for an apology over something you never talked about is insane
Dvorak is like an incredible safety net that doesn't cost much, plus its versatility will make it very useful to rick tocchet who knows how to use him in critical situations.

The Dvorak extension has really put a damper on my excitement for tonight's game.
I think I'm going to avoid these types of shows from now one. Just can't deal with the organizational dick sucks.

Happy New Year Jason love the show. I’m ok with the extension and you are correct about his versatility and in today’s game having offensive options is a plus. Who knows how any extension is going to pan out so you have to take chances and let’s face it this world wasn’t built by people not taking chances and in the cap coming this will be a bargain and he is a solid NHL PLAYER.

Dvorak signing was terrible. Trade him for assets. This ABSOLUTELY is an indication what they really think of Jet L. They drafted bottom six centers recently. First rd misses is what the Flyers do best for decades.
Dvorak full no-trade the first two years? Limited trade years 3-4 that you conveniently did not mention.
Just because this is “reality” Jason doesn’t mean that it’s the right move for the Flyers. And I think it is an indictment Jet the fraud.

I think they look at DVO and see somebody that is consistent, steady, and a calming presence to the current golden boy Trevor Zegras. Zegras has stated multiple times that he is playing as good as he is because of DVOs consistency.
People are grabby hands for a 1C but nobody ever says WHO that should be? Homegrown or a trade. We have trade pieces if there is a player that Danny has his eyes on.
I also would of perferred three year de albut like you said about Florida a cup contending team has to have guys stepping up. Teams arent made up of mcdavids, mathews, kucherovs. There has to be guys they get for a dime that rise to the occasion.

For me it's really not the number he signed at, as we know the cap will be rising systematically every year now. So we can easily hedge the cap number. The real issue is the roster spot. What are we doing here? Maybe it's just me, but where are we going with this? We're constructed as a team with too many wingers, obviously everyone knows we need the C depth, but signing a player like Dvorak to this length tells me Danny isn't as optimistic about some of our younger players, maybe? I also do not want to see Dvorak anchored to Zegras the entire time he is here. I'm happy we're in a playoff spot, but I won't lie, it's not a satisfying happiness. The recent success this season guarantees no playoff spot, and I'm scared for the future because suddenly there is no clarity at all whatsoever for the center position, with Jett underwhelming literally every time he is on the ice, and I have hopes for Nesbitt, but get the impression he's probably going to be what Coots is now 😢 Berglund may turn out to be the best of the 3 of them 😮
