But to anyone on here beaking off about losing to a rookie goalie, any goalie good enough to be in the NHL is capable of standing on his head and stopping 55 of 56 shots for a win. I remember waaay back the Bruins poured 70 shots against the Quebec Nordiques and lost (1-0 I think). Ray Bourque had the Bruins line up to shake the goalie's hand after the game.
GG Rangers! Despite the shots, you started on time and capitalized on some of our defensive errors. We didn't capitalize on squat and that's all that matters in this game. All the best to you and see you again in a month and a half

Nothing but a disappointment every year. Have fun choking in the first round with that back up goalie and Gardiner and hainsey hahaha you have to sit all 3 to win a game

I didn’t expect the rangers to take this but I’m happy the rangers won let’s hope we can win against the jets and sabres if possible.
But credit to the leafs too 55 shots but in the end they failed to overcome exhaustion at MSG after a hard game at centre bell on Saturday.
