Picks playing GOD mode but that aside, I am happy for Jones. He has been playing good since he returned to the team, being always aggresive on the forecheck, I consider he deserved a goal as a reward for his unseen work.
Serious Picks has given us a "to count on " long term track record , jarry and ingram HAVE NOT .
Could they , perhaps , but we know for certain Picks with dedicated ice time is far more confidential ease, than hoping on the other 2 unproven as of yet goaltender that we can rely on .
Team playing well in front of Picks is dominant , he earned that chance to be starting .

Oilers definitely need an improvement defending their own net, however that looks. I’d love to see changes on defence but I doubt that will happen. Stastney is awesome, love that pickup. So any improvement in net is fine by me. I like Stu, and I like Picks, but I also like dependability, which we haven’t had for a while now. I like the Alex Lyons idea, hopefully that comes to fruition.

Great game by the Oilers. Pickard was half a step away from a shutout and gave them exactly what they needed all night. Happy for him. And once again about Bouchard. In this game he basically had one legit defensive save. That is the version of him this team needs. Simple reads, real commitment in his own zone, no drifting. When he plays defense like that, everything else falls into place and almost any decent goalie will do the job just fine.
