Mats was always way more dominant for Team Sweden. He was one of the highest players in the league when he was here and was very good but not on the same level as some of the other players in his pay range. Toronto has always overpaid people and acquired players at the end of their careers. We never try and develop and or find those diamond in the rough type of players that actually make a big difference in a cup push.
Playing to full barns every home game the city loves its players if you earn it, go and play in cities where hockey gets a bit piece on the back page of the sports section, fans have waited almost 60 yrs and not since the original 6 have they hoisted lord stanleys cup, fans are definitely frustrated and really want to support a winner but year after year early round exit of the nhl playoffs, you know I am amazed fans in toronto still care, get a second team in Toronto and lets see what happens😮
Still the greatest Leafs career of all time with Mats and Matthews looks like he's well on his way there
